Dr. Kostic,

I seek your wisdom, and perhaps your participation.  I am Editor-in-Chief of the Encyclopedia of Energy (www.apnet.com/energy/). A distinguished editorial board is assisting me in this project (Amory Lovins, Rajendra Pachauri, Vaclav Smil, Robert Costanza, Jose Goldemberg, Robert Ayres, Robert Kaufmann, Lee Schipper, Maragret Slade, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, Marija Ilic, Eberhard Jochem, Ernst Worrell, and Per Peterson).

This work promises to be the flagship of the energy reference field (see Prospectus below). The print version will be published in the acclaimed Academic Press Reference Series (www.apnet.com/reference).  The Encyclopedia will be held by libraries at colleges, universities and other institutions of higher education; the libraries of nongovernmental organizations, government agencies, consulting firms and research institutes of energy, environmental, and public policy issues. The electronic version will be available in its entirety at Elsevier Science's ScienceDirect (www.sciencedirect.com),  and linked to Elsevier Science's Energy Information Network (www.energyinfo.net). This will give the Encyclopedia a prominent presence on the web.

We have an entry on Work, Power, and Energy. ... would be an integrative overview of the current state of knowledge.  Are you interested in contributing this entry? ...

Authors will receive a formal invitation from Academic Press concerning terms, format, deadlines, etc. Authors will have 4 months to complete their contribution from the date they receive a formal invitation. Individual entries will be 5-6,000 words (about 21 double-spaced manuscript pages).  For your contribution, you will receive an honorarium, as well as offprints of your article. Your name and that of your institution will be listed in the work and in promotional materials.

Thanks in advance for your help.
